Holiday Tournament-Indoor soccer tournament for all age groups
held the weekend of December 14, 2013. The cost is ONLY $75 per
Youth Basketball Leagues registrations are now
posted under the basketball tab. Divisions for these events tend to
fill before the deadline so don't wait to turn your team in. We are
able to take registrations with deposits over the phone with a credit card.
Shoes- help support BFR by bringing your used shoes for our Shoe

Fitness Classes- BFR offers a variety of strength-based
classes for all fitness levels. BFR always offers the FIRST CLASS
SESSION for FREE so that you can try out something new without any financial
risk. Try out the new AQUA ZUMBA(c) class on Monday nights at 6PM at
the Maple Crest Indoor Swimming Pool.
Soccer- Register for the January session for the U8 division- 5
weekly games on a house team (college students are provided as coaches). For more information Click

Night- Bring the family to BFR on Friday, Dec. 13 for 2 hours of open play and activities(6:30-8:30PM). Cost is
only $5 per family (an adult must attend); no pre-registration is required.
Programs and Classes- the winter programming will begin the week
of January 6th. Watch for the updated Highlights Brochure in
Support Group- Meetings on Monday, Dec. 2 and 16 @ 5:30PM.
Looking for a way to lose weight or maintain a
healthy body image?? This new Support Group meets twice monthly to
discussion and active sessions, plus participants weigh-in weekly at BFR.
Deb Hohenbrink and Amy Byers are the leaders of the program; both have
extensive backgrounds in weight loss management. Cost is just $20/month (cheaper for BFR members and those who commit for a
longer time period).

|Youth NFL Flag Football League- BFR
is a proud partner of NFL Flag! Join this new league option in the Spring
2014. Youth ages 5-12 may participate; one practice and scrimmage each
week! Look for registrations to begin in January.
|Youth Basketball Tournaments- The
Tournament for 4,5,&6th grade boys will be held March 1st and 2nd, and
the tournament for 4,5,& 6th grade girls will be held March 8th and

|Track Pass Options- Come
inside BFR to walk over the winter months with a track pass. The
track is accessible all building hours (some times are busier than others
with indoor soccer traffic).
on the 1st and 3rd Fridays, 8:30-10:00AM. Use the indoor track on
these days for just $1 per person (included free with BFR membership,
Track Pass and Family Rec Pass). Free coffee is provided!!!
Family Nights- During the
winter months, BFR sponsors informal activities for families. Bring the entire
family for group games, open recreation and activity stations for the young
ones. Cost is $5 per family (Free for BFR members and Family Rec Pass
Family Open Play-
Drop in as you wish and give the young ones a chance to play. Each
Wednesday and Friday morning 11-12noon. Just $1 per child each time
Options- BFR offers Recreation Passes for use of the recreational
facilities only. Rec Pass holders have access to the indoor track, gymnasium and
arena (fitness center IS NOT included). Family Rec Pass is just $150 per year to
cover the entire family. An Individual Recreation Pass is available in
quantities of 10 visits for $30.00
|Drop in recreation is available for youth and adults.
Daily Use fee of $5 is required by all non-members. Posted hours for drop-in
basketball and soccer are available by clicking on the schedule above. BFR
does not offer a day pass for the Fitness Center; BFR members may bring
guests into the fitness center, however.
BFR offers individual and family membership options to use the entire building
for an affordable price. The Fitness Center is a members-only area (for
those 14 years and older). Stop by for a tour and more information. **Be sure to ask about corporate discounts on full year membership
BFR is a PRIME Network and Silver
Sneakers facility. Check your health insurance or Medicare supplemental policy to see if either program is included in your
plan. You may be eligible for FREE BFR membership.
Positive Changes to your Body with new membership package -
Fit4Life is a new 6 week membership option for people new to exercise or
who are trying to
lose weight. The package includes full membership benefits, plus weekly
personal training sessions, as well as 6 weeks of the Fit4Life Group Support meetings. Call to set up

BFR is a private, not-for-profit organization (501c3) providing
lifelong fitness and sport options; gifts may be tax deductible. Volunteers are always welcome, as
board members and assistants with tournaments and special events.

Fitness Classes-Classes are OPEN anytime for new
participants and the FIRST CLASS IS ALWAYS FREE. Click here to read the class

Bell Conditioning class is not being offered until Spring 2014.

into better shape with the help of a BFR staff trainer. Packages of
30 minute sessions are available for non-members and members. * All
BFR staff trainers have completed bachelor's degrees in exercise science
or strength & conditioning- their expertise can help individuals of
all fitness levels and ages.
|Become a Better
Athlete with The EDGE and
training programs- BFR offers affordable pricing for quality athlete
training. The EDGE program is available by individual appointment.
Jumpstart Sport Specific athletes will improve speed, agility, strength and jump plus work on

Ultimate Fit offers a HIGH END WORKOUT under the direction of a staff
trainer. Each session is planned from warm-up to cool down- just
bring yourself and energy!!
**BFR Winter Weather
Policy- If a Level 1 or 2 Snow Emergency is posted by Allen County, all
BFR classes and programs will be cancelled (the building remains available for
fitness center, track and recreational gym/arena use). Team contacts
will be called with league rescheduling information. On the mornings
with a Level 1 Emergency, the BFR building will open at 8AM and open at 10AM
during Level 2. BFR will be closed while under a Level 3 Snow Emergency.
**Summer Heat Advisory Policy At BFR
Outdoor youth programs will be
cancelled (and rescheduled) in case of severe heat. The NOAA National Weather Heat Index will be used to
determine these conditions and events cancelled when levels reach the
dangerous or extremely dangerous levels. Determinations of predicted hear index will be made by 4pm on the program day

Established in 1978, BFR is a private, non-profit
organization serving the fitness and recreation needs of Bluffton, Ohio and surrounding
communities. BFR programs, leagues, and classes are open to both members and guests.
Use of the fitness center, however, is restricted to BFR members over the age of 14 years.
