 | Jumpstart
Sports Programs expanded this summer- Based on feedback from
athletes and parents, BFR has added more to the Jumpstart sport training
program!! This summer, sport specific groups will be offered for
Basketball, Soccer and Volleyball that will feature sport-based training
plus conditioning. Groups will meet twice per week (total of 6
sessions per month) in June and July. Sport specialists as well as
trainers will work with athletes entering grades 7 to 12. Click

 | Running
Programs Announced- Both Walk to Run and Improve Your Run
programs will be held July 8 through August 30. Individuals looking to
become a runner are encouraged to register for the Walk to Run group
training program- work as a group to move from walkers to run/walkers to
runners. If you can already run 20 minutes or more without stopping you are ready to try to Improve Your Run. Each
program meets as a group twice per week as well as homework assignments.

 | T-Ball-We
are now accepting registrations
for boys ages 5 & 6 and girls ages 5,6 or 7 (as of June 1).

 | Summer Tennis
Instruction begins in June- A Youth Camp
for beginners will be offered at BFR on June 3,4,5 from 10-11:30am.
Six weeks of group lessons will begin the week of June 11. Beginner Youth lessons will be held on Mondays; High School players or
adults without any prior instruction will have lessons on Tuesdays. Advanced
players (current students only) can sign up for weekly lessons by calling
BFR. Registration deadline is June 3 or when classes are filled (most
ball machine classes fill at 4 participants)! |
 | Labor Day
Weekend 5K Walk/Run plus Pump Challenge will happen on Saturday,
Aug. 31. |
 | Craft &
Home Business Expo will be held at BFR on Sat. Sept. 28, 2013-
Vendors are needed for the 1st annual, fundraising event. There is
room in the building for more than 50 booths of crafters and/or home based
businesses (i.e. Thirty-one, Mary Kay, etc.) Click

registration is now open for the Thursday night
league beginning in June. Cost is $200 per team which includes cost for 2
certified refs per game. Registration deadline: May 31 with $50 deposit

 | Summer Challenger Soccer Camp-
Mark your calendar for July 29- August 2 when the British Soccer training
program will return to Bluffton. Register online; click on the soccer
button above for more information. HOST FAMILIES ARE NEEDED!

 | Adult Coed Softball League-
teams are now being accepted for the summer
league that begins July 8 (Monday and Wednesday night games plus
tournament). Cost is $300 per team with $50 deposit required (the
league has limited spaces, so register early to guarantee a spot). Click

 | Goals Galore 3v3 Soccer Tourney- Mix up your soccer experience with
3v3 play on small fields on this one day tournament. Cost is $75 per
team (max roster of 5); payment is required with registration by June 7th. Click

 | Get a JUMPSTART on your Sports Competition-
middle school and high school athletes can get stronger, and faster
through individual EDGE or JUMPSTART group conditioning sessions.
Our Summer Programs will feature sport-specific groups working with both a
trainer as well as a sport specialist. Packages include 6
sessions in June and/or July. Click

 | U6 Intramural Soccer League- A great
learning league experience for young children. Spring 2013 session
will run April 15- May 16 on Tuesday and Thursday nights (6-7pm). The Fall
program will open for registration in June!

 | Indoor Soccer Leagues-
Team Leagues for U8 through adult divisions are offered from November
through March.
|
 | Youth Volleyball Skills League- A developmental skill league will be
offered in April 13 -May 18. Sign up individually to
be assigned to teams; teams practice once per week and play matches on
Saturday afternoons. A pre-season clinic will be offered on
Wednesday after-school from March 20- April 10; sign up for the league and
clinic to save money. Girls in grades 4,5 or 6 are encouraged to
sign up!!

Silly Saturdays & Adventure Camps- Pre-school and
Kindergarten youth will explore a theme with craft, games, snack and physical
activities. Summer Adventure Camp dates will be posted soon.

Coffee Walks
on the 1st and 3rd Fridays, 8:30-10:30AM. Try out some new
coffees provided by Common Grounds Coffee Shop. LAST COFFEE WALK until Fall
will be APRIL 19.

Rec Pass- unlimited use of the recreational
facilities (indoor track, gymnasium and arena) is available for just $150 per year to
cover the entire family. The individual rec pass is available in
quantities of 10 visits for $30.00

Drop in recreation is available for youth and adults.

BFR offers individual and family membership options to use the entire building
for an affordable price. The Fitness Center is a members-only area (for

Family Open Play-
Drop in as you wish and give the young ones a chance to play. Each

now offered 7:30am Monday through Friday, 12:10pm on Tuesday and Thursday,
5:30pm on Monday and Wednesday (30 minute circuit training). Saturday morning
mix will be Kim's Zumba Fit (c) class through May. YogaFit's evening session at the Bluffton-Richland

training. The EDGE program is available by individual appointment.

Ultimate Fit offers a HIGH END WORKOUT under the direction of a staff
trainer. Each session is planned from warm-up to cool down- just
bring yourself and energy!! Summer sessions will begin June 3,
July 8, August 5.

into better shape with the help of a BFR staff trainer. Packages of
30 minute sessions are available for non-members and members. * All
BFR staff trainers have completed bachelor's degrees in exercise science
or strength & conditioning- their expertise can help individuals of
all fitness levels and ages.

**BFR Winter Weather
Policy- If a Level 1 or 2 Snow Emergency is posted by Allen County, all
BFR classes and programs will be cancelled (the building remains available for
fitness center, track and recreational gym/arena use). Team contacts
will be called with league rescheduling information. On the mornings
with a Level 1 Emergency, the BFR building will open at 8AM and open at 10AM
during Level 2. BFR will be closed while under a Level 3 Snow Emergency.
**Summer Heat Advisory Policy At BFR
Outdoor youth programs will be
cancelled (and rescheduled) in case of severe heat. The NOAA National Weather Heat Index will be used to
determine these conditions and events cancelled when levels reach the
dangerous or extremely dangerous levels. Determinations of predicted hear index will be made by 4pm on the program day

Established in 1978, BFR is a private, non-profit
organization serving the fitness and recreation needs of Bluffton, Ohio and surrounding
communities. BFR programs, leagues, and classes are open to both members and guests.
Use of the fitness center, however, is restricted to BFR members over the age of 14 years.
